Varsity Leader (Coach) Specific Training (VCLST)  V21

(For Varsity Team coaches and assistant coaches. Parents, committee members, CORs, and any interested adults age 18 or older are welcome to attend, too.)

Registration Deadline:
Online Payment Only by September 14
Seneca will NOT accept payments at the Marriott Scout Service Center 

Course fee: $10

We are sorry- there are no accommodations for children at this training event.

119 North Frederick Avenue,
Gaithersburg, MD 20877  

Park in Church Parking lot off of Walker Ave., otherwise park on street or lot across from Walker Ave entrance of church.  DO NOT Park in shopping center lot – you will be towed. Enter church from church parking lot entrance/court yard.

Who takes training? 
This is required training for Varsity Team coaches and assistant coaches. It will help others working with Varsity Teams to understand how the Varsity Team program differs from Troops and Venturing Crews.

Introduction to Outdoor Leaders Training (IOLS) (S11), will complete your training. 
You must register for IOLS separately.

Montgomery Service Area offers IOLS on these dates.  
You are required to attend the entire weekend for the session you select.

- October 28-29, 2017 (White Oak)
- May 5-6, 2018 (White Oak)
Other IOLS opportunities are offered through other districts in NCAC.

What to bring: 
Varsity Scout Guidebook, Boy Scout Handbook and a lunch (there is no time to go out for lunch.)

Prerequisites:  Complete before attending: (my.scouting.org)
- Youth Protection (Y01)
To get training, log in to my.scouting.org, click My Dashboard, then click Training Center

- Varsity Leader Fast Start (on-line)
- This is Scouting (on-line)

Please gather your training dates before you start the registration process.  It will make the registration easier. 

If you have already taken Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS), please provide the date.

Online registration requires the following information:
