Difficult Run District 2026 Fall Camporee

Great American Camporee 250 is an exciting district-wide event promoting Scout skills and celebrating American history. Sons of the American Revolution re-enactors will join our camp with flag ceremonies, storytelling, and demonstrations throughout the day on Saturday. Program stations will challenge Scouts with themed activities to include pioneering skills as part of camp life, navigation as an essential skill throughout history, archery in early American history, team games from the Revolutionary War era, and an activity celebrating early aviation in America. We will also have a cooking competition (“What Would George Washington Eat?”).

Check In Time: Friday 9/26 at 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Check Out Time: Sunday 9/28 at 10:00am

Who:  Troops/Crews and Arrow of Lights. Troops should register as a unit including any AoL Scouts they may choose to invite. The registration system allows units to go back into the registration to add additional attendees. Units may register Scouts as Scout1, Scout2, AoL1, AoL2, etc. to make the registration process easier.

Arrow of Light (AoL) Scouts: Troops are welcome to invite and register their feeder AoL dens to participate in the camporee with them.  In accordance with National requirements, AoL Scouts can attend as an AoL den/patrol under the supervision of two deep leadership from their AoL den/patrol or pack. The AoL Scout’s parent or legal guardian(s) may attend with the AoL den/patrol and their child, either alongside the two-deep leadership or as part of it if they are registered with the pack.

AoL Scouts will be integrated with the patrols and compete as part of the patrol.  AoL Scouts may not share a tent with troop youth.

Costs:  Registration costs are $35 for all attendees including staff. Event patches are included in the registration fee.

Important Note:  Per Scouting America guidelines, all adults accompanying Scouts at any level to any Scout camping or day event MUST be a registered Adult Leader with their unit and have completed SYT - Safeguarding Youth Training.  No exceptions.
