Section Induction Experience (SIE) Hosted By Amangamek-Wipit

Section Induction Experience
Hosted by: Amangamek-Wipit Lodge
August 21-23, 2026
For over a century, the Order of the Arrow has created transformative experiences for Scouts across the nation. As we continue our mission to be why Scouts want to stay in Scouting, we're evolving our induction experience to ensure today's young people forge real connections, discover what Brotherhood, Cheerfulness, and Service mean in their lives, and begin journeys they'll carry forward for years.
Our driving principle is simple: The OA should be why Scouts want to stay in Scouting. To align with that vision, we've redesigned the induction experience to create a welcoming environment where new members build connections throughout the induction and leave energized to participate in their next lodge or chapter event.
How do I get involved? How do I find out more about the new Induction? The best way is to experience it with 250 of your closest friends! Join us the weekend of August 21st to 23rd at Camp Snyder in Haymarket, VA for the Section Induction Experience. We’ll have 250 OA members from E10 and E9 lodges, coming together to participate in a train-the-trainer adventure. You’ll get to experience the new Induction first hand, while learning how to lead it in your home lodges.
There are familiar activities and lots of new fun elements. You’ll get to experience the new Ceremonies and brand new activities called Guidances. We’re aiming for a no-spoilers policy - while we are happy to discuss what is going to happen during the weekend, we’re also respecting people who want to let it unwind on its own, similar to how the current Ordeal and NYLT/Woodbadge function.
Your staff will be a combination of Section E10 Arrowmen who have been trained at the National Induction Experience; members of the National Committee; and support staff members from across the DMV. You’ll be divided into crews and we guarantee that everyone, youth and adult, will leave with at least two new friends.
What do I bring? Your Ten Essentials and standard Ordeal packing list will cover you, along with your Part A+B Medical forms. We’ll all be eating in the Camp Snyder Dining Hall all weekend, so let us know your dietary restrictions when registering.
Space is limited and we’re going to give priority to youth members and Arrowmen eager to serve as crew leader (Luminaries) and ceremonialists. That being said, we encourage everyone to register, today for an amazing weekend of fun, service, and brotherhood.
