REGISTRATION: All registrations must be completed online. Gather the following information before starting your registration: BSA ID# and allergies/medical/dietary restrictions.

ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES APRIL 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM

CHECK-IN TIME: Friday, April 10th at 6:00 pm. All candidates must check-in prior to 7:30 pm

END TIME: Sunday, April 12th at 9:00 am

ALL ATTENDEES MUST bring your BSA Medical Forms (Parts A and B), including an attached copy of your health insurance card.

ORDEAL CANDIDATES are expected to arrive in your Class A uniforms. You’ll change into camp clothes after check-in, but you will need the full Class A uniform at your Ordeal. Please pack your gear in two bags:

• Sleeping bag
• Sleeping pad
• Waterproof ground sheet
• Rain jacket
• Flashlight
• Water bottle
• Insect repellent
• Masks (as desired)
• Sturdy hiking/work boots

• Tent
• Work clothes and gloves (To avoid poison ivy, please consider long-sleeve shirts and long pants)
• Change of clean clothes
• Rain gear
• Towel/grooming supplies
• Sun block
• Jacket/Fleece

Please take note of the weather forecast, and bring appropriate clothing. As always, Be Prepared!

In addition, please bring garden tools such as loppers, branch cutters, bow saws, garden rakes (not lightweight leaf rakes), shovels and other outdoor tools.  Make sure you clearly label your property.  No machetes, sheath knives, or power tools are permitted.

DO NOT BRING: Electronics of any kind and snacks/food items (unless there is a medical necessity). If you bring a cell phone, it must be left with the staff Friday and Saturday.

FOR ORDEAL CANDIDATES: We realize this is a significant cost for the weekend. However, the price includes your first year OA dues, OA sash, OA lodge flap patch, OA handbook, and free Brotherhood membership. If this cost is a limiting factor to you or your family, please contact Adviser Golding and we can make arrangements. Every Scout will be able to participate regardless of cost. 

CURRENT OA MEMBERS: Current eligible Ordeal members are encouraged to stand for Brotherhood conversion during this weekend. You must arrive before 3 PM on Saturday to participate. You can register as a full weekend participant with Brotherhood Conversion. However, if you can ONLY come for the Brotherhood ceremony (and plan to leave before dinner), you don’t need to register, but please email Adviser Chris Thames  so we’re prepared for your participation..
