NCAC Venturing Officers’ Association “Star Wars” Gaming Lock-In

“Do or Do Not! There is No Try!”

February 7-8, 2026

The NCAC Venturing Officers’ Association (CVOA) brings you our 4th Annual Lock-In and 28th Anniversary Venturing Celebration at Centreville Dance Academy in Centreville, VA!!

This year’s Lock-In will have a Star Wars theme and feature “ALL-Night” GAMING!! Sony Playstations, Xboxes, Nintendo 64, Board Games, Puzzles

As the event has a Star Wars theme, we encourage participants to dress accordingly. Be your favorite Star Wars character or the alien that lives next door to Obi Wan Canobi or R2D2’s cousin!

Experience delicious foods from the far reaches of the Galaxy! (nothing that moves). Star wars movies will be played throughout the event!! Pick the 4 you would like to watch when you register.

This event is open to ALL Venturers and Venturing age Scouts BSA and Sea Scouts!!! In addition, this event is a recruitment event so if you know of anyone who is interested in joining your Crew and learning more about Venturing, encourage them to attend this event and see what we do!!

The doors at Centreville Dance Academy will open to participants at 6:00PM. Participants will check-in with CVOA registration desk. Gaming and the Movies will start at 7PM. Formal check-in will end at 9PM. Any participant arriving after 9PM should reach out to CVOA@ncacbsa.org.

If you wish to bring any game systems, board games, puzzles or activities to supplement the event, feel free to do so! You would need to provide your own display, power cord, and necessary setup equipment. We’d love to see some of your favorite games. All games must be Scout appropriate.

Please bring a water bottle so you can stay hydrated throughout the night. You are also encouraged to bring a camp chair so you are guaranteed a place to sit, and a sleeping bag if you would like to take a nap. There will be spots set aside for anyone who would like to sleep.

If you are able, we would also love it if you could bring your unit flag.

Cost: The price for anyone who is interested is $30.

What to Bring:

• Sleeping gear if you plan to sleep
• Star Wars attire or Class B Uniform – Class A optional
• Water bottle with your name on it
• Camp Chair
• Game System/Board Game(s)
• Medications - All Venturers are responsible for their own medications. No medications will be collected by event staff.
