Potomac District's Winter Camping Event 

REGISTRATION OPENS:

• Potomac District Troops: Sunday November 30th at 8:00AM
• Senaca and White Oak Troops: Sunday December 7th at 8:00AM
• All other Troops: Sunday December 14th at 8:00 AM

We only have 83 Campsite to Sell - as a result, we sell out every year - please register in a timely manner. If we sell out - do not lose all hope - every year we take Troops from the waiting list!

The Klondike Derby is a two-night winter camping event and competition for Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crews, Explorer Posts, and Sea Scout Ships.  Patrols solve problems using their Scout skills, Scouting spirit, and teamwork, all while having fun in the cold. See the attached "2026 Klondike Derby Leader's Guide" for more information. 

This registration website is for reserving campsites for the Klondike Derby. The cost of each campsite is $175 per campsite. 

In addition, when you check in on Friday January 23rd for the event, please pay $10.00 per person for all Scouts + adults who are attending the event. To help us expedite the check in, please print a copy of the attached "2026 Roster & Final Payment Form", fill it out, and bring it with you along with the total per-person payment to check in at the event.
