Building Momentum is hosting an event for Scouts BSA to earn the Game Design merit badge on Dec 22, 2025! 

BuildMo will host this MB session at their workshop in Alexandria, VA. 

Who can attend? Scouts BSA and friends ages 11-18. Feel free to sign-up with a friend

Class Overview

Whether its Capture the Flag on a campout, tic-tac-toe in the lunchroom or World of Warcraft back home,virtually every Scout plays games. Design and make your own board game to take family game night to the next level of fun!

Event Schedule:  
Game Design Merit Bagdge session from 9am - 12pm. 

Event Requirements and Details

Uniforms: SBSA may wear Class A uniform. 

What to bring: 

• pencil, merit badge workbook
• water bottle
• Food: Attendees may bring snacks!  Please do not bring products with peanuts. 

Parents and guardians: are welcome to volunteer in the session. Please indicate your volunteer availability/preferences during registration.

Registration Fee: The cost for the Game Design class is $45.  

Merit Badge Completion/Follow-Up/What to Expect: BuildMo instructors are Merit Badge Counselors with NCAC and digital blue cards will be provided (they are linked to our registration system).You will receive an email with instructions on retrieving them after the event.
