STEM Lab 750 **CANCELLED**

STEM Labs
STEM Labs enable youth to tinker, explore and get creative doing hands-on activities in Lab meetings and occassional field trips. They try new things as they work with others, lead teams, communicate results and work with people in STEM careers.
This is a co-ed program! STEM Labs were designed by scientists from Oak Ridge National Laboratory to prepare girls and boys for a future of STEM literacy. This Lab will run for September and October and will begin with the Into the Wild module. In this module youth will discover the various biomes on our planet, and then analyze and match each biome to its specifiic characteristics and conclude which mammals makes its habitat in each biome. New modules will be introduced beginning in November. Labs will be conducted on the first and third Saturdays of each month, from 10 AM to 12 PM.
This is a volunteer-led program
All families should plan to volunteer in some capacity! You will be able to select how you'd like to volunteer - whether you're comfortable as a STEM module instructor, classroom helper, or field trip planner. It's a fun program!
