The Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor Course is a 16-hour hands-on course to equip you to teach the Leave No Trace principles by conducting Leave No Trace Awareness Workshops. The course is for adults over 18 who are committed to responsible use of our outdoor resources and want to share that passion with others.

The course is divided between classroom training and an overnight backcountry experience, during which participants will each teach one of the principles within a small group. The course will also cover the Scouting America Outdoor Ethics program and awards.

You will need camping gear for the overnight experience.
