FOR EVERYONE

Please complete and bring signed paper copies of this BSA health and medical record (parts A and B) and the BSA Pre-event Medical Screening Form. 

As part of our youth protection and camper safety plan:

  1. All adults who attend an Order of the Arrow event are responsible for the safety of the youth participants. 
  2. All youth who attend an Order of the Arrow event is responsible for the safety of other youth participants.
  3. All youth attendees must be registered members of the BSA.
  4. All adult attendees must be registered members of the BSA, with a criminal background check, and unexpired youth protection training. These credentials will be verified by the OA leadership with the Scout Service Center prior to your participation.
  5. All attendees will follow the BSA youth protection guidelines and implement the BSA's Barriers to Abuse.
  6. Youth participants will not arrive prior to the established arrival time.
  7. Vigil youth, who have responsibilities for guiding a Vigil candidate, may enter camp after 12:00 pm on Saturday.
  8. All other Vigil youth may enter camp after 6:00 pm.
  9. All participants will be assigned to a specific campsite.
  10. Should a Scout need to depart the event prior to Sunday at 10:00 am, the camper should inform the registration team upon arrival. 
  11. To depart early, parents will need to complete an early-release form. Ideally, early-release forms are submitted upon check-in. 
  12. Parents will need to come to the headquarters building, with proof of identification, to check their Scout early.
  13. Scouts will only be able to depart early from events with family members or the adult leader (over the age of 21) indicated on the early release form submitted by the parent during check-in. 
  14. All participants, who depart early, will need to sign out at the headquarters building. Youth, under 18, will need an early release form on file.
  15. Given the nature of the Vigil Honor, participants will not be allowed to depart camp after 10:00 pm on Saturday or before 8:00 am on Sunday.  
  16. All participants, who arrive after the established check-in window on Saturday, will need to sign in at the headquarters building. 
  17. Emergency action plans will be communicated to all participants during check-in.
  18. Youth (under 18): When you or your family registers you for this event, you acknowledge that you are aware of these procedures and agree to follow them.
  19. Adults (18 years old and older): When you register for this event, you acknowledge that you are aware of these procedures and agree to follow them.

Registration closes on Tuesday, Sep 20 at 11:59 pm.

FOR CURRENT VIGIL BROTHERS

  • All Vigil Honor members are invited to attend the Vigil reunion and participate in cracker barrel, a Vigil rededication ceremony, the Vigil itself, the Vigil ceremony, and the breakfast and celebration Sunday morning.
  • Vigil Guides have and will continue to receive separate and detailed information and instructions.
  • The $30 fee for brothers covers the following items:
    • Large cracker barrel on Saturday night
    • Vigil breakfast on Sunday morning
    • Cost of recognition items
  • If you only plan to attend Sunday breakfast, the cost is $20.
  • If you have allergies, mobility concerns, or special dietary needs, please indicate them through the registration process.

Tentative Schedule

  • Saturday Evening
    • 7:00 pm Check-in Opens
    • 8:30 pm Vigil Cracker Barrel Starts
    • 10:00 pm Transition to Vigil Proceedings
  • Sunday Morning
    • 7:30 am Vigil Breakfast
    • 10:00 am Depart Camp

FOR VIGIL CANDIDATES

  • You will receive logistical information, most likely through your guide, as you need it.
  • There is no cost for Vigil candidates for this weekend. 
  • If you have allergies, mobility concerns, or special dietary needs, please indicate them through the registration process.
