Registration closes on Monday, January 19th at 11:59 pm.
Purpose: To certify adult volunteers to safely and effectively operate Scouts BSA Archery ranges and to be Archery MB counselors.
Course Content: Participants will receive USA Archery Level 1 practical to submit to USA Archery to become Level 1 Instructors through USA Archery. This certification is required to be an archery merit badge counselor or to run Scouts BSA archery range.
Cost: $0
Expectations: Certified adults will act as cub range officer at cub archery events or volunteer to run archery merit badge/fun shoots at Scouts BSA events twice per year. More frequent is welcome.
Information: You will have to do USA Archery level 1 online module and either submit to course director or bring a printed copy with you to the course. Anyone without this complete prior to the course will NOT attend. Practical includes setup and running of the archery range to USA Archery standards and you shooting several rounds of archery to show us you can "practice what you preach".
Bring with you: A stretch band and a whistle. Dress for the weather as course is rain or shine and is outdoors.
Do not bring: Any archery equipment, camp equipment will be used.
