Campisite Deposit Amount: $100

Camp Fee

The early bird rate is $450 prior to 11:59 pm on Thursday, March 26 at 11:59 pm.

The standard rate is $500 between 12:00 am on Friday, March 27, and 11:59 pm on Thursday, May 28.

After 12:00 am on Friday, May 29 the camp fee is $520.

The camp fee is all-inclusive and covers the cost of all merit badge supplies with three exceptions.

Exception 1: Scouts who take BSA Lifeguard need to earn CPR for the Professional Health Provider. We provide this course at camp for $50. Taking the CPR for the Professional Health Provider at summer camp is optional.

Exception 2: The ATV PowerSport program has a $65 program fee.

Exception 3: The horsemanship merit badge program has a $150 program fee.

The camp registration fee is the same for in-council and out-of-council units.

All camp fees will be collected online using Black Pug – our event management system.

Unit leaders can determine if the unit will submit all payments for the unit or they will allow families to submit individual payments using Black Pug’s Parent Portal. The unit leader initiates and distributes Parent Portal access.

Scouts who attend as Provisional campers or day campers submit their individual payments using Black Pug.

Black Pug does not come with additional or hidden fees. If the fee is $120, the Black Pug will charge your credit card $120. 

Early Bird Fee: $450

If the camp fee is paid in full by Thursday, March 26 at 11:59 pm, the Scout will receive a $50 discount. 

$450 is due on Thursday, March 26 at 11:59 pm if you are paying the early bird rate.

Provisional camper fees that are paid in full by Thursday, March 26 at 11:59 pm are eligible for the early bird discount of $50.

Day campers are not eligible for the early bird $50 discount.

Adults are not eligible for the early bird $50 discount.

NOTE: All Arrow of Light Crossovers and new Scouts who join your unit after March 26 are eligible for the early bird rate automatically. Please contact Camp Director Bud Harrelson at bud.harrelson@scouting.org so that he may manually apply the discount to these Scouts' accounts. 

Standard Camp Fee: $500.00

Payment 1 – $165 due on Thursday, March 26  at 11:59 pm

Payment 2 – $165 due on Thursday, April 23  at 11:59 pm

Payment 3 – $170 due on Thursday, May 28 at 11:59 pm

Late Fee of $20 for Scouts who are not paid in full by Thursday, May 28 at 11:59 pm

Adult Leader Fee – $215

Due on Thursday, May 28 at 11:59 pm

Each unit receives two free adults. 

Provisional Fee: $525

Provisional camper fees submitted by 11:59 pm on Thursday, March 26 are eligible for the early bird $50 discount.

The late fee does not apply to Scouts who register for the provisional unit after May 28. 

Day Camper Fee: $235

Multi-week Camper Discount

Scouts who attend Cherokee Scout Reservation for summer camp for more than one week are eligible for the multi-week camper discount.

The multi-week camper discount is $100.

Prior to completing your second reservation in Black Pug, please notify bud.harrelson@scouting.org that your Scout is a multi-week camper. 

The multi-week camper discount must be applied manually. 

Merit Badge Enrollment

Merit badge enrollment tools will become available on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 8:00 pm.

Summer Camp Kick-Off Dates

The face-to-face summer camp kick-off is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 pm, at the Old North State Council Service Center, Greensboro, NC.

The summer camp kick-off virtual session is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 4:00 pm. We will stream on Zoom. 

Be sure to register by 8:00 am on Saturday, Feb 21 so we can include you on the email with Zoom credentials.
