Limited to 150 people.

Please join us for a night of Scouting and fellowship and help us honor the leaders and volunteers who make our council great. The Leadership in Service Dinner will recognize volunteers and events from the 2022 Scouting year.

We will present the following:

  • Silver Beaver Awards, Class of 2022
  • North Star Awards, Class of 2022
  • Elbert K. Fretwell Outstanding Educator Awards, Class of 2022
  • James E. West Fellowship Recipients, Class of 2022
  • High Performing Districts in Membership, Advancement, Training, and Fundraising from 2022

We will recognize and thank our outgoing council volunteer leaders.

We will install the 2023 executive board and officers.

Koury Convention Center

Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons

3121 W. Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC

Date and Time:

  • Thursday, March 16, 2023
  • Registration starts at 6:00 pm.
  • The meal service begins at 6:30 pm.

​Cost:

  • The adult event fee is $37.50.
  • For children 12 years old and under, the event fee is $20.
  • The event fee covers the cost of the meal, venue rental, and recognition items.
  • The event is free for the Class of 2022 Silver Beaver, North Star, and Fretwell Award recipients.
  • The registration deadline is Wednesday, March 1 at 11:59 pm.

What is the menu:

Gluten-Free and Vegan options are available.

This is a nut-free meal.

All meals include a garden salad, fresh baked rolls and butter, dessert, coffee, iced tea, and water.

  • The garden salad includes farmer's greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrot ribbons, and brioche butter croutons with a house-made ranch dressing, and balsamic vinaigrette.

Standard/Gluten-Free Option:

  • Chicken Marsala: Breaded boneless chicken breast, crispy prosciutto, mushroom cream sauce, green beans, roasted rosemary potatoes
  • Note: The chef uses a special gluten-free flour for the chicken breading.

Vegan/Vegetarian/Gluten-Free Option:

  • Quinia tabbouleh with acorn squash and stir-fried vegetables paired with roasted red pepper puree

Child's Option (not Gluten Free nor Vegan) for attendees 12 and under:

  • Macaroni and cheese

Dessert

  • Tiramisu

Dress Code

  • If they are members of Scouting, award recipients are requested to wear a full field uniform.
  • All Scouters are encouraged to wear field uniform
  • All others are encouraged to wear business casual.
