CSR Volunteer Recognition Lunch

The 2025 CSR Volunteer Recognition Lunch provides an opportunity to celebrate those Scouting volunteers who have made significant contributions to Cherokee Scout Reservation over an extended period of time. 

NOTE: The CSR Volunteer Recognition Lunch coincides with the OA Spring Fellowship (March 7-9, 2025). If you are registered for the Spring Fellowship, you do not need to register for the CSR Volunteer Recognition Lunch. Registration for the CSR Volunteer Recognition Lunch does not register you to participate in the OA Spring Fellowship. If you want to participate in all events that weekend, please register for the OA Spring Fellowship.

Which Volunteers Will Be Recognized During the Event?

1. Ted Williams will be named camp director emeritus
2. The Welding Shop will be named for David and Becky Trull and Family.
3. The Automotive Garage will be named for Joe and Zelma Higgins and Family.
4. The program shelter in Blackfoot and Cheyenne campsite will be named for Past Lodge Adviser Mike Bailey.
5. The new Campmaster Apartment in the OA Lodge will be named for Ken and Linda Shahbaz and Family.
6. The boat landing at Hemric Scout Reservation will be named Workman's Landing in honor of Jimmy and Martha Workman and Family.
7. The second class of volunteers will be inducted into the Cherokee Hall of Leadership.

8:30 - Check-in Opens at Headquarters

10:00 - Dedication of Mike Bailey Program Shelter

10: 30 - Dedication of David & Becky Trull Welding Shop

Immediately following - Dedication of Joe & Zelma Higgins Automotive Garage

11:20 - Dedication of Ken & Linda Shahbaz Campmaster Apartment

12:00 Lunch

12:30 Lunch Program - State of Camp and the  Future 

12:45 Cherokee Hall of Leadership Induction

What is the cost?

The lunch cost is $20.

The fee covers the cost of lunch and helps defray the cost of recognition items.
