Don't monkey around! Join us at the Old North State Council Camporee at the NC Zoo November 5-7, 2021.

Fun for all: Scouts BSA, Venturers, Sea Scouts, Explorers - even Cub Scouts!

Yes, that means Lions, Tigers, Wolves & Bears will be roaming wild in Asheboro! 

Family members are invited as well.

And, if you have friends, who may be interested in joining Scouts, bring them too. 

There are three options for participating in the camporee.

Option 1: Day Camper

Option 1 is open to Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturers, Sea Scouts, Explorers, their adult leaders, family members, and friends who are potential Scouts. 

The cost is $45 per person. The NC Zoo requires all people ages 2 and older to pay for entry into the park.

The deadline to register is Monday, October 18 at 11:59 pm.

People who pay in full by Sunday, October 3 at 11:59 pm receive a $10 discount. 

The day camper fee includes:

• Entry into the NC Zoo
• Access to age-appropriate program available only through the Old North State Council camporee
• Lunch inside the zoo
• Camporee patch​

Option 2: Overnight Camper at Woodfield Scout Preservation

Option 2 is open to Scouts BSA, Venturers, Sea Scouts, Explorers, and their adult leaders.

Option 2 is not open to Cub Scouts, family members, or friends who are potential Scouts.

Due to COVID-19, the Randolph County Department of Health has limited the number of overnight campers to 400.  Therefore, there are a limited number of overnight camping spots. 

The cost is $65 per person. 

The deadline to register is Monday, October 18 at 11:59 pm.

People who pay in full by Sunday, October 3 at 11:59 pm receive a $10 discount. 

The overnight camper fee includes:

• Overnight camping accommodations at Woodfield Scout Preservation
• Entry into the NC Zoo
• Access to age-appropriate program available only through the Old North State Council camporee
• All meals starting with Saturday breakfast through Sunday breakfast
• Saturday night entertainment at Woodfield
• Camporee patch

​Option 3: Camporee Staff Member

Option 3 is open to Scouts BSA, Venturers, Sea Scouts, Explorers, and all adult leaders.

Option 3 is not open to Cub Scout youth, family members, or friends who are potential Scouts.

Staff members will camp overnight at Woodfield Scout Preservation. 

The cost is $65 per person. 

The deadline to register is Monday, October 18 at 11:59 pm.

People who pay in full by Sunday, October 3 at 11:59 pm receive a $10 discount. . 

The staff fee includes:

• Overnight camping accommodations at Woodfield Scout Preservation
• Entry into the NC Zoo
• Access to age-appropriate program available only through the Old North State Council camporee
• All meals starting with Saturday breakfast through Sunday breakfast
• Saturday night entertainment at Woodfield
• Camporee patch
