Hosted by the Akela and Uwharrie Districts
Registration closes on Tuesday, March 3 at 11:59 pm.
Registration should be completed by the unit leader and not individual Scouts or families unless there is only one Scout from the unit attending.
Cost:
- The event fee is $13 (Out-of-Council is $18)
Lunch:
- Lunch will NOT be provided this year. Each scout will need to bring their lunch or coordinate lunch with their unit leaders.
Registration & Merit Badge Enrollment Open Dates:
- Registration opens Monday, January 19 at 12:00 am through Tuesday, March 3rd.
Program:
- Class instruction begins at 9:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm with lunch from 12-1pm. (No Lunch will be provided)
- Scouts may enroll in 1 merit badge section for the day, or Scouts may enroll in 2 half-day merit badges.

- Collections - Morning

- Family Life - Morning & Afternoon
- Fire Safety, Safety - All Day
- Geology - Morning

- Mammal Study - Morning
- Mining in Society - Afternoon
- Music - Morning & Afternoon
- Nature - Afternoon

- Some merit badges have requirements that will not be covered during the merit badge college.

- Or review class prerequisites shown in the class catalog document.
- Adults can complete the following training classs:
- Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Training* (Health Building 204)
- Committee Member Training (WS10)
- Committee Chair Training (WS10)
- Merit Badge Counselor Training (D76)
- Hazardous Weather Training (Need your My.Scouting username and password)
- Venturing Officers Association (VOA) training. (Health Building 205)
- The VOA Training is YOUTH Venturing Training
- Specifically introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews
- This training is for Venturing crew participants.
- Register as Scouts BSA participant and select VOA officer training for your morning session. VOA officer training participants will have the option of taking a merit badge in the afternoon session.
Schedule:
8:15 AM - Check-in opens
9:00 AM - Merit badge/Activity/Training instruction begins
12:00 PM - Break for lunch
1:00 PM - Merit badge/Activity/Training resumes
4:00 PM - Merit badge/Activity/Training ends
4:30 PM - All participants depart Rockingham Community College
Post-Event Advancement Paperwork:
Each unit will receive a Black Pug Import File for Scoutbook a few days after the college ends. Directions on how to import this file is included in the attachments section.
