FALL FAMILY CAMPOUTS are excellent opportunities for your entire family to spend a special weekend together enjoying the outdoors in a camp setting with your pack.  It’s a time to get to know each other in more meaningful ways through the outdoor activities that Scouting provides. We will explore ways Cub Scouts and their families can Be Green with an exciting weekend full of activities and events.

Who can come: This event is for Cub Scout families.  Siblings old and young are welcome to join as well.  Note that there will be a fair amount of walking during the weekend and the camp does not provide or permit motorized transportation within camp unless there is a documented disability.  For cases of disability needs, please contact the event director or staff advisor.

When & Where: Your pack may select to attend any of the three events.  Two events will be held at Woodfield Scout Preservation in  Asheboro (Oct 8-10 & Oct 22-24) and one event at Cherokee Scout Reservation in Yanceyville (Oct 15-17).

Lodging: Your family will need to provide your tents.  Please ask your Cubmaster if a tent can be loaned if you do not currently own one. Activities: Throughout the day Packs will participate in archery, bb shooting, crafts, games, and other program activities.  There will be a Saturday night campfire with an opportunity for Packs to perform skits and songs.  All events are designed for Pack participation.  We will have volunteers at each program area, but they are there to facilitate only and not to watch the scouts.  Enjoy your time with your Pack members and families and help make this event special for you and them.

Health Forms: A current BSA Annual Health & Medical form Parts A&B are REQUIRED for all participants that are in camp.  Current health forms can be found ONLINE HERE.  This is the ONLY version accepted.  No person without a current form will be allowed to participate in activities or camp.  Temperature checks for each participant need to be recorded 14 days in advance of the event to comply with current COVID-19 protocols. The form may be found here.
