Summer Cub Fun! each month this summer (June, July, and August) will have a Day Hike/Walk learning about outdoor safety and ways we can have fun in nature and our communities. Each Hike/Walk will have a unique Patch to collect and will be hosted in a different county in the Southern part of our Council. The cost per Hike is just 5 dollars a person.  Families and potential new Scouts are welcome to participate, there is also an option for adults to register at no cost. Register for each hike you and your family would like to attend. 

June Hike: Saturday June 21st starting at 9:00am Location: (Zoo City Sportsplex ) This hike will offer an opportunity for our scouts to see and experience Asheboro's Zoo City Sportsplex.The hike will begin on the walking track, we will then be able to hike along the nature trail at the park. 

July Hike: Saturday July 19th starting 9:00am. Location: Yadkin River Park (1212 Wil-Cox Way, Linwood, NC 27299) Our hike will take advantage of new walking trails, we will also get to see the Wil-Cox bridge which was built in 1924. 

August Hike: Saturday August 16th starting at 9:00am. Location: Farmington Community Center (1723 Farmington Rd, Mocksville, North Carolina 27028) This Walk/Hike will show Scouts and families that additional activities can be incorporated into our outdoor walks. We will learn about the sport of Disc Golf, and how this activity can be a fun way to explore our parks.
