"Save The Date"

This year Alamance District will hold 3 seperate Fun days. Each day will have a special theme planned for fun in the summer.

All events will be open 9:00am - 12:00pm

June 17: Special Hike

Join us for a hike at one of Alamance County's newest parks.  Cub Scouts and families will start the activity with an introduction to day hiking and Leave No Trace principles.  They will then participate in 2 one mile hikes at the park led by scouts from Troop 39.  While on the hike, participants will look for the items shown on a scavenger hunt list.

This is a drop in activity lasting about 75 minutes.  We will start at 9:00 AM, and the last guided hike starts at 11:30 AM.  After the guided hikes, families are free to do additional hiking on their own if they desire.

Each individual participating in the activity needs to bring a filled water bottle to stay hydrated.  There is no drinking water source at the park.

July 15: Shooting Sports Day (BBs, Archery)-Subject to change

The second Summer Fun Day will be Cub Scouts Shooting Fun Day on July 15th. It will consist of Cub Scouts and their family learning firearm and archery safety through the use of BB Guns and Bows and Arrows. The purpose of BSA shooting sports is to teach firearm safety while introducing youth to a variety of shooting sports programs. The BSA’s shooting sports programs are developed and implemented through age-appropriate training and experiences.
