Guilford District Day Camp

WHAT: Cub Scout Summer Day Camp, BB and Archery Ranges, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts (perhaps some Math, sshhhh), and games. Plus much more!!!

WHEN: June 19-23. Check in begins at 8:00 a.m., “Kiss and Go” line ends at 8:40, late arrivals must be walked up and checked in at headquarters, flag ceremony begins at 8:45. Evening car pool line will begin moving at 4:05 and should be done by 4:35.

WHERE: Sumner Civitan Park, 2325 Concord Church Road, Greensboro, NC 27406 (off Old Randleman Road)

COST & DEADLINE:  Registration fee is $85. No registration is accepted after June 2nd. Registration fee includes all crafts, materials, t-shirt, patch, and camp facilities. Financial assistance is available for those in need. Contact the Day Camp Director for information. Due to the nature of this event, no walk ups will be permitted. Registration must be completed online.

WHO: All Registered Cub Scouts, having just completed Kindergarten thru 5th grade. Not a Cub Scout? Yes you can come too!!! Youth volunteers age 11-17 can attend as a Den Chief but must attend a special training session Saturday June 17th from 9am-noon. Email camp staff for more details! Please note: All campers in Kindergarten or the 1st grade (rising Lions and Tigers) must have an adult with them at all times.

HEALTH FORMS: A current BSA Annual Health and Medical Form Parts A & B is required on Monday morning as camper is dropped off. This can be emailed to us or brought to Sumner Civitan Club early June 17th from 9am to 2pm. Health forms must be turned in no later than the start of camp on June 19th.  Anyone without a current Health Form will not be allowed to remain at camp. 

JUNIOR CAMPERS: Junior Campers are the younger siblings (not yet eligible to be members of BSA) of campers whose parents are serving as camp staff or leader/Parent Guides. Parent must remain on camp property at all times. Any sibling entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2023 will be considered a Junior Camper . Junior Campers will not be attending all areas around the camp but will have their own activities.

YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING: ALL leaders and Parent Guides volunteering at camp must have completed the Youth Protection training module online within the last two years (i.e. certificate does not expire before June 30, 2023) and must attend a Staff Training, June 17th 9 AM –Noon. Please help us protect our Scouts.

PARENTS AND FAMILY FUN DAY: Parents and Families are invited to Friday Family Fun Day! Participate in fun events with your Cub. Lunch will be provided.

AFTER CAMP CARE (ACC): For those who find it impractical to pick up your Scouts by 4:30 each day, we offer After Camp Care for an extra $15/week. We will take your Scouts inside to do an extra craft or watch a science related video. All ACC Scouts must be picked up by 5:30.
