Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews
And
Venturing Advisor Position Specific, Crew Committee Challenge, and Supplumental Training

Crews 7200 and 7221 of Uwharrie District are conducting a joint training for our Venturers needing Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews (ILSC) on Saturday March 27, 2020. Since we will have some spaces available we are inviting other ONSC crews to participate with us.

We will also offer Venturing Advisor Position Specific and Crew Committee Challenge for Advisors. We may also offer other supplemental training or roundtable discussions as time permits.

Location – Shiloh United Methodist Church – 943 NC 150 – Lexington, NC  27292

Date and Times – Saturday March 27, 2021 – 9:00 am to approximately 5:00 pm

Cost - $ 10.00 to cover lunch, snacks, and some of the cost of handouts and supplies.  This is to be paid in cash or check (no electronic or card payments) upon arrival the day of the event.

Open to Registered Venturers and Advisors in Old North State Council

Priority to Participate: Our current class capacities are based on current Covid-19 Restrictions, pertaining to our facilities.

We have 23 spaces for Venturers since training will take place outside under a shelter so dress in layers for the weather on March 27th.

• Crews can initially send 2 Venturers each so they can be better prepared to conduct the training later in their crews or a higher level.
• Other interested Venturers can go on a waiting list, Additional spaces will be filled on a first-come, first served basis based on when registration is submitted.

It is hoped that Venturers completing the March 27, 2021 will become an instructor pool for future courses offered through the ONSC Venturing Officer’s Association (VOA) at various locations later in 2021.

We initially have 9 spaces for Advisors since the training will take place inside

• Each Crew can initially send 2 Advisors each
• Other interested Advisors can go on a waiting list, Additional spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis based on when registration is submitted and received.

The ONSC VOA will offer additional Advisor Specific and Crew Committee courses at later dates and locations depending on demand.

Ideally participants from same crew will car pool following BSA Youth Protection Guidelines
