Fall Camporee

Fall camporee
Theme is Thanks Giving
1.Station paperwork and selection. We have several stations committed to already and need the rest of our units to take a station. Once you have selected a station please get your paperwork done and turned into the activities committee by 8/31 so that we can have all the station paperwork assembled and turned out at the first roundtable of the year on 9/8. Remember the earlier we get this paperwork out to the units the more time your scouts have to practice for the event itself.
2. Registration is going to run through BlackPug for this event. TACs (Troop advancement chairs) just attended a training event for this and will be sent the same email so they can assist in helping with registration. The event is already established and live on the council calendar on the councils website. With registration running through BlackPug the Council Training Committee is requesting that all units provide names of leaders who will be in attendance that have completed Hazardous Weather Training, current YPT or the Safeguarding Youth Training, and a minimum of 2 leaders who have completed their S-11 training to be a Scoutmaster and for Cub Scouts Baloo. The registration will also be looking for the total number of youth and patrols with names in attendance. It is highly recommended by the Training Committee that each unit have a binder with all the health forms and copies of leader training needed at the event as the training committee will be verifying them all. Any questions pertaining to training should be directed to Jay Walsh the Council Training Committee Chair.
3. Units will not be camping in their normal locations this Fall. Over a year ago unit SPLs chose numbers and sites as to where they will be camping. This was supposed to go into effect in the spring but due to ConJam and the camporee moving dates multiple times the Activities Committee decided to try this this Fall. At the roundtable meeting in September a map with all corresponding unit locations will be provided so nobody can say they were not aware of what was happening. Parking will be as it has been and only the vehicle towing the trailer is allowed to be in the site attached to the trailer.
