An optional informational meeting for adult leaders. We will give a general overview of

the event, the day of check in process and answer questions.

Klondike Derby Preparation Meeting for Scouts

at District Round Table

Location: Conard High School, 110 Beechwood Rd, West Hartford

Date: Tuesday, January 9 7 pm

This preparation meeting, held during the monthly District Roundtable, will review Klondike rules and safety procedures. We will also give a general overview of winter clothing and equipment requirements and winter first aid. It is the responsibility of each Troop to do their own in-depth training to ensure that their scouts are prepared to safely participate in this event. Attendance by one adult Troop leader and one senior Scout from each Unit participating in the event is required. For reasons of safety, there can be no exceptions. Additional Patrol members may attend to ensure that each participating Patrol will have one or more trained members

Optional Map & Compass Skills meeting 

Thursday, January 18 @ 7 pm - Conard High School

At our first leader meeting we had multiple requests for more time to be spent going over mapping.  Instead of making the prep meeting longer we decided to hold a separate optional meeting to give leaders and senior scout (s) assistance with mapping.
