Workcoeman Trail to Eagle Experience (Participants should be at least 13 years old and have attained First Class rank)


Workcoeman prepares future Eagle Scouts like no other. Come be a part of a weekend program to work towards and earn Eagle required merit badges. Instructional sessions will guide you through the ins-and-outs of planning and completing your Eagle Scout Project, developing troop leadership abilities, and navigating the Eagle Scout paperwork. Scouts will work towards an Eagle required merit badge and be part of a discussion session with experienced Scoutmasters covering the basics for troop leadership, developing the Eagle service project, and navigating the Eagle paperwork. Come be a part of the program and get a head start working towards the rank of Eagle Scout.


Scoutmasters: You are welcome to come for the Eagle Scout Discussion to get helpful information to help your scouts along the way.


Eagle required merit badges are more rigorous than other badges. Instruction will be provided for the following merit badges. Prerequisite requirements can be brought for evaluation and can be signed off for the badge: (please pick one)


1. Camping - Prerequisite requirements: 7a, 7b, 8c, 8d, 9a, 9b, 9c

2. Citizenship in the Nation - Prerequisite requirements: 2, 3, 8

3. Citizenship in the World

4. Environmental Science- Prerequisite requirements: 3e. Endangered Species (1) or (2)

5. First Aid - Prerequisite requirements: 5a (brought to event), 5b, 14



8:30-9:00 - Arrival and Check-in

9:00-12:00 - Merit badge instruction

12:00-12:30 - Lunch

12:30-2:00 - Eagle Scout Discussion - Troop leadership, developing the project, navigating the paperwork

2:00-5:00 - Merit badge instruction
