LOTR Fall Camporee

The Road to Revolution
Fall Camporee 2026
October 23–25, 2026
Pachaug Youth Campground
Pachaug State Forest – Voluntown, Connecticut
In 1781, American and French forces marched through Connecticut along what is now known as the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route on their way to Yorktown. Along the way, they relied on leadership, teamwork, outdoor skills, and perseverance to accomplish a mission that would change history.
This fall, Scouts will follow in their footsteps during The Road to Revolution, an exciting weekend of adventure, competition, and Scouting spirit.
Patrols will test their skills through a series of challenges inspired by the journey to independence, including:
Pioneering and the Rochambeau Log Cabin Challenge
Orienteering and navigation events
Fire building and outdoor cooking
First aid and emergency preparedness
Communication and dispatch relay challenges
Teamwork, leadership, and Scoutcraft competitions
Throughout the weekend, Scouts will earn points as they travel the "Road to Revolution," overcoming obstacles and demonstrating the skills that helped build a nation.
Located just miles from the historic Washington-Rochambeau Trail, this unique camporee combines local history, outdoor adventure, and the Patrol Method into an unforgettable weekend experience.
