Event Details

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation

(BALOO) is an essential training designed to introduce Cub Scout leaders to facilitating overnight camping opportunities.
This training will include experiences relating to Cub Scout Outdoor Activities, skills instruction, event planning, and
more. Each Cub Scout Pack must have a minimum of one BALOO trained leader on site during a pack campout.

This BALOO training will be held at JN Webster, at the Perregaux Center, (Cub Country).

Need to bring your child? We will have programming for CUB SCOUT AGED children all day Saturday (see program guide for details). They can sleep in your tent for the overnight portion!

Participants must complete an online training module and be at camp Saturday at 8:00
am to Sunday at 10:00 am to complete this course.

The gear that is recommended for all participants to bring with them is as follows:
• Tent
• Sleeping bag
• Sleeping pad or mattress
• Sturdy shoes
• Change of clothes
• Sleeping attire
• Mess kit
• Soap, washcloth, towel
• Camp chair
• Notebook, pen, pencil
• Coat jacket, cap, and gloves

 

Cost: $35.00 (includes course materials, all meals and a crackerbarrel)

$10.00 per Cub Scout staying over with a parent.
