New Scouts BSA Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters should take this training as it introduces participants to the skills and responsibilities neccedssary to running a Scout Troop.  In particular, participants will learn about how to mentor youth members to learn and practice leadership and to exhibit the patrol method. Thsi course combined with youth protection training and the Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS) course will make you a "fully trained" leader.

Participants must be at least eighteen years of age, be registered adult members of the BSA and have completed youth protection training.  The uniform for this event is the Class A activity uniform.
