The Connecticut Rivers Council is proud to offer summer day camp for ALL boys and girls, Scouts and non-Scouts, entering grades 2nd -5th  in the fall. Tigers (entering grade 1) can attend with a legal guardian. Our day camp offers outstanding activities for a week of fun, learning, and adventure. Campers are divided into small, well-supervised groups/dens with volunteers from their own pack or a Staff Den Guide.

LOTS OF FUN!
We offer action-packed days with lots of fun — and some learning too. Every day there’s something new to do, learn, and explore! Activities may include Archery, BB Guns, Crafts, Fishing, Nature, Scoutcraft, Sports & Games, and STEM.

Adults:

The key camp staff is National Camp School trained and guided volunteer staff comprised of the attendee’s family and unit members. A volunteer ratio of 1 adult for every three youths from your Pack is needed daily for a safe, fun, and successful camp experience. See your Pack Day Camp Coordinator to arrange your volunteer days to ensure adequate coverage for your Pack. Adults who volunteer for at least 2 days also get a free Day Camp t-shirt! If you don’t have any Adults attending camp, we will provide Camp Staff Den Guides for the week.

Youth Helpers or Den Chiefs:

Youth ages 11-17 may volunteer to assist in various roles at camp: set up, tear down, den chief type service, help with stations, gofer and general camp service, and tag-a-long support. Youth Helpers who volunteer for at least two days also receive a free Day Camp t-shirt!

Tag-a-longs:

A Tag-a-long program is available for children (ages 3-5) of adult volunteers each day the adult is present at the camp. Must be potty-trained. Meal fees apply. We are not a daycare, but we do accommodate families.

Discounts:

The Connecticut Rivers Council offers camperships for Day camp for families who are in need. We also provide multiple-week and sibling discounts.  To ensure day camp success for all parties, we offer help to Adult leaders and Packs who can send Den Leaders to Day Camp.

If an adult(s) becomes a den leader for the week-long day camp, their Scout(s) camp fee will be fully refunded post-camp. In addition, for every den leader that a Pack sends for the week-long day camp, each Scout that goes from said Pack will be refunded $50 for every Den Leader up to three post-camp. For example, if Pack can staff two den leaders for the week-long day camp, each Scout from the Pack will be refunded $100 after the conclusion of Camp.
