Event Details

Tschitani Lodge 24hr Winter Fellowship

Laid back….social event!  No schedules!  No uniforms!  No rules!  No adults!  Just kidding, we do need to have adults there and some rules. 

When:  Fri, Feb 25 6:00 pm – Sat, Feb 26 6:00 pm.  Friday check-in 6 – 10 pm.  Can’t arrive Fri you can still come on Sat.  Departure will be from 5 – 6 pm on Sat.

Where:  Camp Mattatuck, Plymouth, CT – Leever Lodge

Friday night – Games, games, games – indoor, outdoor, electronic, board, cards, etc….  Bring games to share and teach others to play.  Coordinate with your fellow members to bring tv’s and game systems.

Saturday – may include, Native American Indian crafts, beadwork, Lodge committee sign-up, carving, ceremonies, elangomats, bushcraft and outdoor games.

Food:  We will bring in pizza on Friday night and have some snacks available.  Sat will have some simple items available for breakfast and lunch.

Final instructions to all those registered will be sent on Wed, Feb 23.

 

What to bring:

Yourself
Games
Typical items you would pack for a single night cabin campout (sleeping bag, toiletries)
Clothing appropriate for the time of the year
Any personal snacks
Money – there will be a limited Lodge Trading Post in operation

Additional details:

Friday night will be like a lock-in event and Scouts have the option of staying up late, but you can go to bed whenever you like.  Scouts staying up later must sleep at some point and/or have a designated ride home.  You will NOT be allowed to drive yourself home first thing in the morning.  TV’s and video games are not supplied.  You should contact others going to coordinate bringing these items, if desired.

Saturday events are still being finalized and the OA Bulletin Board (link below) will have updates.  Those interested in participating in ceremonies or being Elangomats for our upcoming Induction Weekends, or joining a Lodge committee, will have an opportunity to learn more about what is involved.

The event will be held under the current Council Covid guidelines, which can be found at the link below.  This currently includes the following:

Cabin camping will be allowed provided all Scouts and adults present are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or present a witnessed negative test (home tests are not allowed) taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure. Please remember that fully vaccinated means that all shots have been received and that more than two weeks have elapsed since the last one. Verification by the CDC vaccination card is required.
No participants can show evidence of any aspect of illness, nor have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 within the last two weeks.
Mask use is still required at all indoor activities.
