WHAT IS A BLIZZARD BLAST?
A Blizzard Blast is a fun filled day of outdoor activities for Cub Scouts. It's a Cub level event similar to the Klondike Derby for the older Scouts. It's a great way to show your Cubs all the fun outdoor stuff they can do even in the winter.
A strong focus on staying physically fit and being active outdoors even if there is snow on the ground.
Teamwork, Scout Spirit, overall Fun.
WHAT DO WE HAVE PLANNED FOR THIS YEAR'S MAIN EVENT?
Here's a few highlights
*Snowball Darts or SNARTS similar to Lawn Darts but with snow.
*Ice fishing Demo and Ice safety (this may or may not be on the ice weather permitting)
*Spider ski race, a super fun teamwork race working together to “ski” across the field.
*Hot Cocoa station and Cold Weather Safety
*Follow the leader, make sure you have your listening ears on and follow directions, it's a Blizzard and the snow has caused whiteout conditions, try to stay on the trail as your team navigates the course.
