EARN the Whitewater Rafting Award on the Fife Brook Section of the Deerfield River. 

The Connecticut Rivers Council is thrilled to partner with the experts at CrabApple Whitewater for an exclusive high-adventure excursion down Massachusetts’ scenic Deerfield River. 

Who Can Attend?

This registration is for the Week 7 excursion. It is open to:

• In-Camp Participants: Scouts and leaders attending JNW summer camp during Week 7.
• Day-Trip Participants: Local Scouts and leaders who would like to attend as a day option.

Note for Merit Badge Participants: Scouts enrolled in the Whitewater Merit Badge are automatically registered for this trip and do not need to sign up here.

Schedule & Timing

• Bus Departure: The bus departs promptly from J.N. Webster at 7:45 AM. Please arrive early for check-in.
• Bus Return: The bus will return to camp by 5:30 PM.

Trip Highlights

• The Route: Navigate the legendary Fife Brook section, featuring a perfect mix of splashing Class I-II rapids and breathtaking New England scenery.
• The Challenge: Face the ultimate test at Zoar’s Gap, a thrilling Class III technical rapid that will require teamwork, timing, and grit.
• The Reward: Upon successfully conquering the river, all participating Scouts and leaders will earn their Whitewater Rafting Emblem.

• Limited Availability: Space is strictly limited for this off-site adventure. Early registration is highly recommended to ensure your troop secures a spot on the bus!
• Gear & Waivers: A detailed packing list and required waiver forms will be provided to all registrants prior to departure.
