Ashford Liberty Tree & Rt. 44 Dedication - J.N. Webster

The Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, Connecticut Rivers Council Scouting America, the Connecticut Department of Transportation, and the Town of Ashford cordially invite the public to the dedication of the Ashford Liberty Tree and a special portion of Route 44 dedicated to Revolutionary War hero, Lt. Col. Thomas Knowlton. Known as America’s first official military intelligence officer, Knowlton led the famous "Knowlton's Rangers." The dedication takes place on his former historic homestead.
