Gears & Grids: Mattatuck STEAM Adventure

Location: Mattatuck Scout Reservation & UCONN Waterbury Robotics Lab

Dates: Sunday, August 9 - Tuesday, August 11, 2026

Cost: Overnight Camper: $395.00 (Full 3-day program, HackPak-Mark Rober Robotics Kits, all meals, overnight lodging, and evening activities).

Day camper: $300.00 (Daily instructional sessions, HackPak-Mark Rober Robotics Kits, daily lunch, and afternoon activities. Dismissed before dinner/evening sessions).

This accelerated, high-impact 3-day Robotics Camp designed for Scouts, FIRST Robotics team members, and youth STEAM enthusiasts. To maximize accessibility and accommodate local families, this updated proposal introduces a Day Camper tier alongside our Overnight tier.

Regardless of the chosen tier, every participant will build, program, and take home a programmable Hack Pak Robotics/Engineering Kit (a $165 retail value) and have the opportunity to earn the Robotics Merit Badge.

Camper Requirements & Prep
To successfully complete the Robotics Merit Badge during this accelerated program, campers must review the prerequisites listed on our website prior to arrival.
What to Bring:
Pen, pencil, and notebook.
Pre-completed merit badge worksheets or partial blue cards.
Required medical/permission forms.
