Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation is a two part curriculum:
1) Online training element prior to the course (my.scouting)
2) In person training on October 17-18. Both parts are required to complete BALOO. Please be sure your Safe Guarding Youth is current and complete SCO_800 Hazardous Weather training prior to the course.
This training will equip you with the Scouting Know-How to make your Pack event and overnighter a success. While every Pack overnighter needs at least one BALOO-trained adult, we think you'll find this a great event to inspire your camping adventures!
In your registration, please list any food allergies or other accommodations we need to be aware of, so that your camping experience can be a good one.
This is a camping event, you will need:
Tent, ground tarp, Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, sturdy shoes or boots, change of clothes, Class A Uniform, sleeping attire, medication if required, mess kit / soap, washcloth, towel, camp chair, pad/pen or pencil , warm jacket, gloves for early morning, rain coat, water bottle, and Cub Scout 6 essentials.
Please complete Parts A, B1, & B2 of the Scouting America Medical Form and bring with you to the training.
Thank you for all you do for Scouting!
