The Greater Wyoming – Longs Peak Council and the Pathway to The Rockies Council (formerly Pikes Peak Council) announce a joint College of Commissioner Science event for 2021. The event this year will be held on Saturday, 13 November 2021, starting at 7:45am and running until 4:30pm.

The current lineup of classes covers many of skills necessary to be an effective Commissioner in the Scouting program. There will also be several classes that will be of interest to a wider variety of leaders as well, such as learning the basics of Scoutbook, learning how to mentor and coach new leaders, and understand the aspects of working with Scouts with special needs.

All Commissioners are strongly suggested to take one of the two classes offered to refresh their knowledge of the online roundtable and commissioner tools available on the my.scouting.org website.

Like last year, the event for this year will be held virtually via Zoom. With the combining of the two colleges, participants will have a greater opportunity to learn and earn the Commissioner College Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees.

The cost of the college this year will remain at $5 per participant. This fee covers a physical certificate of participation, a patch for first-time participants, a rocker for completed degrees, as well as for postage and administrative costs.

Enrollment for the College begins now and continues until 11:59pm on Monday, 8 November 2021.

Scouters do not need to be a commissioner to take college classes!
