Memorial Day Flags

Celebrate Memorial Day by Honoring our Veterans
A Scout is Helpful.
Scouts and Scouters, your help is needed on Saturday, May 24 with the Flag placement at Oak Hill Cemetery. or on May 31 to pickup the flags
Date: Saturday, May 24th & Saturday, May 31st
Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (9AM - Noon on May 31st)
Includes Free Lunch and a Patch! (Lunch on May 24th only)
Location: Oak Hill Cemetery, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125
Reason: It is time honor people that have served in the US Arm Forces that are buried there.
TO WEAR: Wear the official uniform of your unit. Preferably what is considered Class A’s.
What to bring: A long screw driver or long rod to poke a hole for the flag, the ground can be very hard. Some drinking water
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST? This depends upon the number of volunteers. Scouts can earn service hours, make new friends from other units, and show that a scout is helpful.
OR
If you cannot help with placement the flags need to be retrieved on May 31st at 9am.
If possible, sign up as a unit. Check in on both days starts at 9am with a short service about 9:15.
