Baloo October 2024

Event Details

BALOO is a 2 day training course that teaches leaders skills needed to carry out a successful family Pack-level or Den-level campout. BALOO training is required for at least one adult leader of a Pack to do overnight camping as a part of the Pack’s activities.

At least one adult who has completed this course must be in attendance at any Pack or Den overnight activity. This course has two parts. The first is available online and the second part is the outdoor experience (this class).

The online component must be completed before attending the outdoor part of Baloo training.

The online portion is available through the BSA Learn Center (my.scouting.org). Log onto my.scouting.org, scroll down to the "BSA Learn Center" image (on the right side of the home page) and click on "Cub Scouts". You will land on the Training page. Click on the "Catalog" tab at the top of the page, and then type "BALOO" into the search bar. The online portion of the BALOO training course should appear as the only search result at the bottom of the page. Click the "Visit" button on it to start the training.

The outdoor portion of the training will be held on:

Saturday October 12th and Sunday October 13th, 2024 at Chesebrough. Check-in is at 8:00 AM on Saturday. Instruction will finish by 12:30 PM on Sunday.
