*It is strongly recommended that you arrive as early as possible to have enough daylight to set up your tent and campsite. Sunset occurs at about 6:30 PM

For Parents and Leaders in Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scout Programs

This course will provide you with the basic outdoor skills needed to start and guide an outdoor program in accordance with BSA standards. The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills found in the Scout Handbook. This is an extended course covering more topics including practical modeling of the patrol method.

This training will also cover the basics for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters. However, the course is for all adult Scout leaders and parents.

The Troop Leader Guide book, Volume 1 is included in the course fee.

No dinner Friday night so please either eat before or bring a sack dinner. There will be a Friday evening cracker barrel

Registration Deadline: October 3, 2026. This will allow you to prepare for the session in a patrol
