What is Cub Scout Day Camp?

Cub Scout Day Camp is a multi-day outdoor adventure designed to teach Cub Scouts essential life skills through engaging activities. From Cub Scout Range and Target Activities to STEM projects, Scouts will explore, learn, and grow—building confidence and working toward rank advancement and special awards.

 

Who Can Attend?

Youth entering first grade (Tiger), second grade (Wolf), third grade (Bear), fourth grade (Webelos), or fifth grade (Arrow of Light) in Fall 2025.

Important: First-grade (Tiger) Scouts must have an adult partner attend each day.

 

Each Scout Receives:

• Cub Camp T-Shirt

• Cub Camp Patch 

• Rank Adventure Requirements, including Cub Scout Range and Target Activities

• Handmade Projects to take home

• Encouragement, praise, and new experiences

• A head start on the next scouting season

 

Camp Activities

Each day offers a balanced mix of action-packed and skill-based activities, including:

• Cub Scout Range and Target Activities (BB Guns & Archery)

• Nature Hike

• Leatherworking

• STEM & Crafts

• Skits & Songs

• Whittling

• Scout Skills

• Obstacle Course

• Service Projects

Volunteers make Monterey Cub Camp a success. If you can help, we offer discounted rates for your Scout:

• Volunteer 3-4 Days – 50% Off 1 Scout’s Camp Fee

• Volunteer 5 Days – 100% Off 1 Scout’s Camp Fee

Note: Tiger adult partners do not qualify for this discount.

Volunteers must be registered with Scouts BSA and have current YPT.

Scouts ages 11 and older can help at Monterey Cub Camp while earning:

Cancellations & Refunds

Registration Deadline: July 21, 2025

Notify cubcamp@svmbc.org before this date for cancellations.

 

Refund Policy:

• All refunds are subject to a 25% cancellation fee.

• No refunds after July 21, 2025.

• Camp is rain or shine—no refunds for weather or scheduling conflicts.

• Full refunds only for medical emergencies (hospitalization with a doctor’s note) or death of an immediate family member. Other emergencies may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
