Whether you're a Scouter (18+) aiming to become a certified Level 1 Leave No Trace Instructor*, or a Scout (First Class, 14+) looking to deepen your understanding of outdoor ethics, this course is your gateway to leadership in responsible outdoor practices.

What to Expect:

• A dynamic, hands-on training experience led by seasoned Leave No Trace Instructors
• A 16-hour overnight course packed with practical skills, teaching techniques, and outdoor ethics education
• Scenic learning environment at Camp Chesebrough

Certification Opportunities:

• Scouters who complete the full course will earn a nationally recognized Level 1 Instructor Certification, empowering them to lead the Scouting America Leave No Trace Skill Course and certify others.
• Scouts and Scouters who choose the Skills Course will receive the Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics Instructor Certificate (Adult only)—an essential milestone for those pursuing the National Outdoor Action Award or serving as Outdoor Ethics Guides (Senior Troop Position).
