2024 Fort Benito Cub Scout Day Camp

What Activities Do We Offer?

Each day will feature fun, themed special events! Campers will learn the values of Cub Scouting through such activities, not limited to: Archery & BB Guns, Cooking, Gardening, Skits, Nature Hike, Leathercraft, Athletics, Woodcraft, Science (STEM), Art, Knot Tying, Music, Crafts and Water Fun!

Additional activities for Webelos (4th graders) & Arrow of Light (5th graders) include: Carving, Fire Skills, First-Aid, Walking Stick, Survival Skills,and an overnight campout* under the stars with a family member! (*optional participation, not included in registration; $20/person includes dinner, campfire & cracker-barrel, and breakfast)!

Tiger Cub (1st graders) activities include: Archery, Athletics, Gardening, Nature Hike, Skits, Leathercraft, and Water Fun! Many activities will qualify for credit toward Cub Scout Adventures and Electives for rank advancement.

**Tiger Cubs will only receive commemorative photo as well as snack, materials, etc.


Who Can Attend?

Any child entering the 2nd to 5th Grades in the coming school year (2024-2025) is welcome to join Cub Scouts and attend 5 days of Cub Scout Day Camp. Children entering 1st Grade in the coming school year are welcome to join as a Tiger Cub and participate in our special Tiger program on Friday, June 16th. All campers must be currently registered as a Cub Scout through BSA.


Cost and Registration

Registration opens March 15th!

$65 per Camper if registered by May 25th; a $10 late fee will be applied thereafter, pending space availability.
$130 for out of District Campers registered as Scouts outside of San Benito County
$20 for Tiger program (Friday only)

Participating Packs must provide two full-time adult leaders for each group of five or less Scouts. All parents must participate in a Day Camp Staff Position – full or part time. Parent commitment form is part of registration packet. Free childcare will be available for the young children of adult leaders, only while parent is fulfilling comitment at camp. All parents that are committing to working camp must attend a free training prior to Camp, to be held on June 4th and 5th.
