BLT - Basic Leader Training Day 2026

Walk-in Registration Accepted starting at 7:30 AM
This training covers the basics for all adult leaders in Cub Scout, Scouts BSA, and Venturing - and for Venturing youth leaders! Please bring a pen and paper for notes. Your Leader Handbook or any resources to share is also good to bring.
In-person training is an excellent way to gain in-depth information and have your questions personally answered by our dedicated training staff.

- Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews (ILSC)
All courses except Venturing courses are open to adults only. All Venturing courses are open to adults and Venturing-age youth.
Date: September 19th, 2026
Time: 8 AM - 3:30 PM
Check-in starts at 7:30 AM. Morning Training ends at 12 noon. Afternoon Training ends at 3:00. Lunch provided from 12 noon to 12:30. Lunch and 3:00-3:30 include optional additional time for questions and fellowship.

Cost: $15
The course cost includes a light breakfast, pizza lunch, coffee, course materials, and a Trained patch!
To earn the “Trained” patch, you must be current with your Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT: taken within the last year), complete your position-specific training, and have current Hazardous Weather training (taken within the last 2 years) if you are a direct contact leader (Den Leader, Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Advisor; or Assistant to any of the above). Additionally, for Scoutmaster/ASM, you will also need to complete or have completed Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills.
