RE: Invitation to Council Annual Business Meeting
In accordance with the Bylaws of Scouting America and the Los Padres Council, notice is hereby given that the Los Padres Council Annual Business Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 6:30 PM, at Toyota of Santa Maria, 1643 S. Bradley Road, Santa Maria, CA 93454.
The Annual Business Meeting is a required governance function of the council and serves as the official forum for council voting members to conduct business on behalf of the corporation. The purposes of the meeting include:
• Election and approval of the proposed Council Board of Directors, officers, and members-at-large
• Approval of required corporate and governance resolutions
• Review of the Council’s strategic direction, performance, and alignment with the mission and standards of Scouting America
Voting membership and procedures will be conducted in accordance with the Scouting America Rules and Regulations, the Los Padres Council Bylaws, and Robert’s Rules of Order, as applicable. A quorum of eligible voting members is required to conduct official business; therefore, attendance by voting members—particularly Chartered Organization Representatives—is essential to fulfill the council’s fiduciary, legal, and governance responsibilities.
