Cub Scout Range & Target Day March 30 2025

Calling all Cub Scouts!
** Lions are only able to participate in archery and slingshots. **
Come out for an exciting day of safety training and practice at the ranges, you will get to work on your Target and Range Electives for each rank! Enjoy archery, BB guns, and slingshots! This experience can help build self-confidence, promote discipline, and develop new skills.
Cost to participate is $15 per cub scout. This price includes a bottle of water and a light snack. All youth must have a parent/guardian present on the ranges.
When: Sunday March 30, 2025 from 12:30pm - 4:05PM
Where: Yolo Grasslands Park- 30475 CR 104, Davis, CA 95618
Bring a friend! Siblings and other unregistered BSA youth may participate if they are in kindergarten through fifth grade and are interested in joining cub scouts.
Note: Late Comers may not be accommodated if the safety training has already commenced on each range.
Cubs can wear their activity shirt to represent their Pack or other casual sporting scout friendly attire. Uniforms can be worn but keep anything that dangles on their shirts or scarf's at home. We don't want anything to catch a bow string.
ALL YOUTH and ADULTS must wear Closed Toe & Closed Heel Shoes! No sandals/crocs.
Parents/guardians must remain with their child during the duration of the event.
All range equipment will be provided. Do NOT bring your own equipment.
What to bring:
Copy of the BSA Medical Form A+B (see attachments) for each youth/adult
GEC Range & Target Activity Permission Slip (See attachments) for each youth. (Even if the parent is on the range with their children.)
Hat, sunscreen, water bottle, and outerwear depending on the weather.
Event registered cubs will receive a bottle of water and a light snack.
Camp Chair (Optional)
A wagon to carry your personal items (Optional)

Directions: The 5-digit address does not work with navigation units. Use “Mace Blvd. and Tremont Road, Davis” instead. Take Interstate 80 to Davis and exit at Mace Blvd. From the East, turn left onto Mace Blvd. From the West, turn left at the light onto Chiles Road and then turn right onto Mace Blvd. Proceed 4 miles south on Mace Blvd (County Road 104) to the junction of Tremont Road. At Tremont Road, turn left into the park driveway.
