For the months of July and August, we will hold our annual planning event to help solidify the District event calendar for the following season/year. These also will be the focus of the Roundtables (second Thursday evening of the month) and also held at the Carmichael Elks Lodge in one of their meeting rooms. July will be laying the groundwork needed to understand what unit leaders need and want as far as District events and also for understanding where District resources can be best utilized in the individual Unit’s program; such as help with recruitment activities, camping events, promotions, or anything else. Feedback is always appreciated and we want to have you be integral to the success of our program activities. There will also be breakouts for each program division and one for committees/COR’s.

August will continue the theme of getting a committed calendar of events/activities for the Fall season and the rest of the next year. Breakouts will continue and discussion will be inclusive of training needs assessment and special program areas that are not usually part of program planning in general. In addition, longer-term events throughout the country, region and world will be discussed as well as regional trainings that are opportunities for adults to increase their expertise or training to introduce them to new kinds of program opportunities.

By instituting an integrated and inclusive planning schedule, our District will continue to build and thrive to be one of the best Districts in the Council that offers exciting program and advancement opportunities for all youth within our District boundaries.
