Pioneer Express Recognition Dinner

Date:                Thursday, June 11th, 2026

Time:                5:00 pm – Gathering
                        6:00 pm – Dinner, with program following

Place:               The Carmichael Elks Lodge
                        5631 Cypress Avenue, Carmichael, CA 95608

Cost:

• $20 per adult, $10 youth 6-17
• Those being recognized with District Award of Merit and Silver Horseshoe are at no charge, but should register so we know they are coming
• Under 5 and under, no charge.

Meat will be provided. Please bring a side dish, salad, chips, etc., to eat and share. The dessert will be a Dutch oven cookoff. Details to come.

Do you know someone in your unit that deserves to be recognized with the Silver Horseshoe? We know that every adult leader deserves recognition. There are many deserving Scouters in the Pioneer Express District that should be recognized. These awards are for service in the 2025 Program Year.

SILVER HORSESHOE AWARD — PLEASE TURN IN FORMS BY JUNE 1^ST

The Silver Horseshoe Award is a unit’s recognition for that individual who has performed a single significant act or performed continuous service to the Pack, Troop, Crew or Post. This individual has made a difference. Every unit in the Pioneer Express District has a candidate for the Silver Horseshoe Award. It is time to recognize their contributions. Up to four (4) awards can be made by a Unit.
