National Jamboree 2026

The most exciting Jamboree ever!
Scouting’s PREMIER High Adventure experience! The experience of a lifetime including: whitewater rafting, rock climbing, bouldering, rappelling, zip lines, mountain biking, canopy tours, shooting sports, dragon boats, paddle boats, COPE courses, BMX racing, Pioneering, canoe slalom, kayaking and more. In addition to all of the things you’ve grown to love about the Jamboree, there is patch trading, SCUBA, arena shows, Technology Quest, and over 20,000 of your closest friends.
When: The 2026 National Jamboree is July 22 – 31, 2026
Where: Summit Bechtel Reserve, New Hope, West Virginia
Tour: Yes, we will be touring the Washington, D.C. and surrounding area. More information about the tour will be provided after a touring company has been selected.
Troop Structure: Jamobree troop, crew, ship will follow the traditional patrol method. Units will be made up of either 36 scouts and 4 adults leaders or 18 scouts and 2 adult leaders. We hope to take a minimum of 72 scouts and 8 adult leaders to the Jamboree representing our council.
Adult Leaders: Adult Leader candidates will be selected by the Council Contingent Coordinator. Please contact Dave Ishikawa if you would like to be considered for a leadership position.
- Positions:
- Scoutmaster
- Assistant Scoutmasters
- Health and Safety Officer
- This position will be one of the Scoutmasters or Assistant Scoutmasters
- Adult leader will participate in an interview process to be eligible for leadership for the positions listed above.
Fees:
- Approximately $5,000. Council is working with touring companies to finalize our tour and final fees.
- $500 deposit will hold a scouts spot on the National Jamboree contingent.
- A fee schedule has initially been set at $500 per month beginning January 2026.
- Full Payment Due by March 1, 2026
- Fees will include:
- Jamboree - Activities, food, shows, etc.
- Touring - All meals, airfare, ground transportation, admission to attractions.
- Jamboree specific patches, shoulder patches, troop numbers, name tags, luggage and a contingent t-shirt.
- Jamboree troops may require additional fees for some gear.
- Some Jamboree Patches and Swag (patches & t-shirt)
- Duffel Bag/Packpack
- GEC Staff Support
- Other Possible Fees:
- Jamboree Troop/Patol Fees
- Jamboree Trading Post Items
- Uniforma (recommend at least two full summber uniforms)
Participation Requirements:
- All participants must be registered members of Scouting America.
- Scouts must be 12-17 years of age during the Jamboree time period.
- Webelos and Arrow of Light scout currently registered (as of December 31, 2024) may be eligible to participate.
- Scouts 17-20 years of age must participate as part of a Venturing Crew or Ship.
- Adult leaders must be 21 years of age or older.
- All participants must complete a Jamboree Health Medical Record prior to the Jamboree experience.
- All participants are expected to attend Jamboree Troop Meetings and a pre-Jamboree training and camping experience. Meetings will be held by Zoom and live as we get closer to the Jamboree experience.
