Attention all Cub Scouts and families!  Join us June 1st for a fun and exciting day of fishing and earn the brand new Cub Scout Fishing Adventure requirements for each rank. We will also have some cool prizes, a awesome patch and lunch will be provided for all of the participants.

Don't know how to fish?  That's OK!  We'll teach you!  Poles, bait, and other fishing supplies will be provided, but you can bring your own.  There will also be several activity stations set up, such as fishing knots, Leave No Trace, water safety, fish identification, and casting.  The event will be located at Granite Regional Park Lake 8200 Ramona Ave, Sacramento, CA  95826 from 9AM-2PM.  Check-in will begin at 8AM.

Lunch: Hot dog, chips and drink will be provided for the kids and an adult lunch ticket onsite is available for $6.00.  Kids will be fishing and we need adult supervision for each cub scout. If you would like to help at a station please email Vickie Ashworth at gecfishing@gmail.com

Parking fee's are not included with registration.  Parking fee's are the responsiblility of the families.  Due to the park being busy on weekends with sporting events, we highly recommend that your unit carpools. 

All anglers 16 and over are required to have a California Fishing License.  Adults wishing to help their Scouts near the water, will be required per CA Fish and Game to purchase a California Fishing License prior to the event.  California Fishing Licenses can be purchased at most sporting goods locations and local bait shops.
