2023 YOLANO DISTRICT CAMPOREE

April 21-23, 2023

Timm Ranch, off I-505 between Vacaville and Winters

Theme: "Scouts in Space", you can fashion your Troop after NASA's New "Artemis" mission to the moon, catch a ride with Elon Musk on his SPACEX rocket to Mars, or take the easy route, and have "Scotty" beam you aboard! The Achach Chapter of Order of the Arrow is working on further theme development.

Dry Camp: Make sure your unit brings plenty of water for the weekend, as there is none available on site.

SCHEDULE:

This will be the old-style Camporee with 3 days of events and 2 nights camping.

Friday Evening - arrival between 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Troops will be required to arrive before 7:30 on Friday night

Opening campfire or lightshow (if fire danger) with Scout Skits.

Saturday

Opening ceremonies and opening Flags

Followed by the Patrol Competition Events

Saturday Evening 

* Awards Ceremony followed by the Order of the Arrow Call Out.

* Troop leaders’ cracker barrel will follow with lights out at 11 p.m.

Sunday Morning

Scouts Own Service  * Followed by camp inspection/checkout around 9:30 a.m.

Competitive Events:

Orienteering / Map & Compass, Lashing, Lizzy Gator, Log Lift, Semaphore, Hatchet Throw, First Aid

Awards: Baden Powell - Best Overall Patrol, Troop Spirit Award, Troop Best Use of Theme Award, OA Cooking Contest Award - Patrol

Patrol Totem Award, Gateway Award, Campsite Award
