Golden West District Camporall
Golden West District Camporall
October 8-10, 2021
Oso Lake Scout Camp
21131 Los Alisos Blvd, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688
What is Camporall?
Camporall is an outdoor activity program designed to aid in the Webelos-to-Scout Transition plan. The purpose of this outdoor experience is to create in all Webelos Scouts (Boys & Girls) a genuine desire to know more about Boy Scouting, and through a fun-filled series of events to give them a preview of the thrills of scout skills. Probably nothing in the scouting program appeals to boys and girls more than the opportunity for adventure in the great outdoors. The Camporall event will expose the participants to glimpses of the fun and skills of Scouts BSA. It also offers an opportunity for parents to gain a perspective on troop programming and the opportunity to “graduate” along with their sons or daughters.
What will they do?
We will have a wide range of fun activities for the Webelos and AOL Scouts to participate in including some or all of the following:
- Obstacle Course
- Trivia Games (Scouting Adventure & Looking Back, Looking Forward)
- Fire Building (Castaway)
- Knots Competition (Scouting Adventure)
- Tent Building Competition
- Flag Ceremony
- Nature Hike (Into the Woods)
- Outdoor Survival (Castaway & Outdoor Adventurer)
- First Aid Competition and More!
Who can attend?
All Webelos and AOL Scouts are invited to participate, but each Cub
Scout must be accompanied by their adult partner (Dad, Mom or
guardian over 18 years of age).
What’s the goal?
The goal of this event if two-fold. First, BSA Troops from the Golden
West District will be demonstrating some of the critical scout skills that
BSA teaches. We want to give a glimpse of the fun and adventure that
await your scout in their future Troop! Additionally, we will be tailoring
some of the activities to assist Den Leaders in completing many of the
requirements for Arrow of Light.
